Shout Out Louds / Show Me Something New / Work

I’ve learned to be weary of pre-orders these days…I’ve just ordered too many records that don’t end up showing up at my door till months after the release, it’s can be pretty disappointing. With my favorite bands though, I just can’t resist.

I actually spotted my mailman on the way home from Mars Cafe, two blocks from my house with a perfect record sized package…I had a feeling it was the new Shout Out Louds album, but wasn’t for sure as it doesn’t actually come out for a couple of weeks.  This time the pre-order paid off, I got the album early, w/ a download, plus a poster/sticker/button combo.

I first saw the Shout Out Louds open for Kings of Leon in Minneapolis, probably about 5 years ago.  My wife and I have been hooked ever since, and this new album doesn’t disappoint.  I’ve uploaded a deep album cut for your enjoyment…

Buy this album when it comes out, these guys are shaping up to have a pretty good 2010…

Oh yeah, it was produced by Phil Ek, who’s done some alright albums by…Band of Horses, The Shins, Fleet Foxes…
